February 20, 2006 Ok kids...Regarding The Flaming Lips Soft Bulletin 5.1 Warner Brothers cd mixup(see feb. 4)..The address for sending the cd back is incorrect on the website and the dvd itself, I guess...???!!! The correct address I am told is:
The Flaming Lips P.O. Box 3265 Edmond OK 73083 USA. If you need to contact a person about this, contact derek at world's fair:derek@worlds-fair.net. He will help you out.

February 4, 2006
Soft Bulletin 5.1....On January 27, a Friday, we finally received a copy of the pressing of The Flaming Lips Soft Bulletin 5.1. That's when we discovered that the dvd wouldn't play properly on two of our four dvd players and that the wrong cd had been included in the package. We informed Warner Brothers of the problems we were having and they should be shipping the correct cds by now. Also, for people who ended up with wrong cd (I would be bummed, actually I am; I really want that version of the record!), you can contact the Lips via their PO Box and exchange the cd. As for the dvd problem, there has been a change in the dvd specification that affects most Pioneer dvd players and many Chinese import dvd players that do not comply to the new specification. Pioneer is aware of the problem and we are told they will update your firmware for free.
January 16, 2006 Latest project:

June 11, 2005 Dave attends
Tape Op Conference 2005 in New Orleans. He and F. Reid Shippen do a mixing demonstration and he is also included on the Producer's panel. It would seem that the new Sleater-Kinney album is causing distress amongst certain of the audio community and other types of purists. I would venture to wonder if perhaps we are becoming afraid of.....ROCK!!!????? Could it be even worse that the people that are really rocking are women? Maybe it is just fear of change. I dunno. People are really riled up and a lot of people really love this album too. So...It would seem, a success. Don't blame Greg; it was mastered correctly. Don't blame this on Dave; he didn't write it.

May 26, 2005 Dave has found it necessary to cancel a mixing session with the Japanese band,
